This Pagani Huayra sells for more than seven million euros

The base version of the Huayra is already expensive. So when Pagani launches into limited series, prices end up exploding.

Launched in 2011, the Pagani Huayra is one of the rarest modern sports cars in the world. With production limited to 150 copies, this luxurious car is not frequently available for sale. And when it is, the prices at which its examples are negotiated are beyond belief, even for an Italian sports car.
Depending on the model, the Huayra sells for between a million and more two million euros. In 2020, one of the rare Pagani Huayra roadsters sold for more than $2.3 million at RM Sotheby's, the equivalent of just over 2.1 million euros. Modern cars that can be purchased at such high prices are rare. However, a recent Huayra model goes even further into financial excess.

The Pagani Huayra Codalunga, an incredibly expensive and luxurious sports car

Launched in 2022 by the Italian manufacturer, the Pagani Huayra Codalunga is associated with a staggering value of at least seven million euros. But what's so special about it compared to other Huayras? This coveted supercar actually has a very recognizable feature: it has a longer tail at the rear.
It wasn't exactly Pagani who had the idea to create this car. The project has its origins in the minds of two automobile enthusiasts, who approached the Italian company to bring this luxury sports car to life. Convinced by this model with such an original design, the manufacturer has even decided to go beyond the sole request of these customers. And he finally came out five copies of the Huayra Codalunga.
To design this limited series, Pagani was largely inspired by the racing cars of the Mans of the 1960s. The latter indeed tended to sport a long tail. However, the design is not the only asset of this Huayra model. La Codalunga also benefits from a V12 engine developing 827 horsepower and a torque of 1,100 N m. All for a weight of only 1,290 kg.

Pagani, the champion of expensive cars

More recent than its two Italian competitors, Ferrari and Lamborghini, Pagani is certainly not the luxury car company best known to the general public. The quality of his productions, however, allowed him to quickly make a name for himself with a few wealthy clients. The manufacturer also holds some records in terms of prices.
The value of the Huayra Codalunga may already seem very high. However, it is almost weak compared to the brand's most expensive model, the Zonda HP Barchetta, whose price would reach the 15 million euros. Several limited series have also increased the value of Pagani cars. This is the case of the Huayra Tricolorea special version worth more than six million euros.
