The French manufacturer lifts the veil on the third generation of the Peugeot 5008: here is the announced autonomy of its 100% electric versions.
After the new generation of the Peugeot 3008, here comes its seven-seater family version, called Peugeot 5008 : like the previous opuses, the new 5008 has three rows of seats, but also an offer of three electric motors, associated with two battery capacities.
Up to 660 km of autonomy
The first version of the Peugeot e-5008 electric SUV is called Electric 210 : it is powered by an electric motor of 210 horsepower and 345 Nm of torque, associated with a 400 V lithium-ion NMC (Nickel-Manganese-Cobalt) battery with a capacity of 73 kWh. This version displays a range of 502 kmaccording to the WLTP combined cycle.
The second version is called Electric 320 Dual Motor AWD : it is powered by a double electric motor of 210 horsepower at the front and 110 horsepower at the rear, i.e. 320 horsepower in total, and 345 Nm of torque at the front and 166 Nm at the rear, associated with a 400 V lithium-ion NMC (Nickel-Manganese-Cobalt) battery with a capacity of 73 kWh. This version displays a autonomy of 500 km (approval pending), according to the WLTP combined cycle.
The latest version is called Electric 230 Long Range : it is powered by an electric motor of 230 horsepower and 345 Nm of torque, associated with a 400 V lithium-ion NMC (Nickel-Manganese-Cobalt) battery with a capacity of 98 kWh. This version displays a autonomy of 660 km (approval pending), according to the WLTP combined cycle.
New Peugeot 5008: 30 minutes to refuel
The batteries of the Peugeot e-5008 are rechargeable using an on-board charger of 11 kW in alternating current (22 kW optional), but also 160 kW in direct current, which allows recharging from 20 to 80% in around 30 minutes on a high-power charging station, or in 4.5 hours on an 11 kW AC Wallbox.
The new Peugeot 5008 will also be marketed with a 195 horsepower rechargeable gasoline hybrid engine, coupled to an e-DCS7 double-clutch gearbox. This version allows you to drive in 100% electric mode thanks to a 360 V lithium-ion NMC (Nickel-Manganese-Cobalt) battery with a capacity of 17.9 kWh : it thus displays a electric range of 82 km (approval pending), according to the WLTP combined cycle.
For this HYbrid Plug-in 195 hp version, the on-board charger is 3.7 kW in alternating current (7.4 kW optional), which allows the battery to be recharged in 4h20 or 2 hours respectively, on a Wallbox in current alternative.
The new Peugeot 5008 will be marketed atfall 2024and will be manufactured in France, in the Peugeot factory in Sochaux (25).
